Prachi Khasgiwala having studied Architecture from SCET chose to pursue her passion in Architectural Photography.An avid traveler, who is trying to encapsulate the essence of different cultures she encounters.Fervent learner who believes in the idea of evolving through learning and is a history enthusiast and has been teaching History of Architecture from the past three years in Bhagwan mahaveer college of Architecture.
She’s the founder and principal photographer at Depictions by Prachi Khasgiwala and has founded an interior styling and Balcony Design firm under the Uplift banner.
She’s been listed in the list of top Architectural photographers in India and her works have been published nationally and internationally also her photography which she did for the Dumas walkway development has been awarded by the Surat Municipal corporation recently.
She meets local artisans regularly while she’s out while travelling to understand and improvise the concept behind artefacts, how they are build, what tools they use, what materials they use. Which brings her closer to know how something’s work and why.This exercise has also enabled her to take back that knowledge and try to view things from a different perspective.
She always tries to find connection between all the different artforms be it architecture, photography or dance; bringing a new vision and joy to the heart and soul.She is a trained Bharatnatyam and Kathak dancer and has been trying to learn more about sustainability in day to day life and is practicing green living by creating more green thumbs
She’s been conducting Mobile photography workshops, sustainable living workshops and indoor Gardening workshops.
